is born from the passion of its founders for gems and jewels of unique beauty.
Dott. Giulio Russo, head of the company, is an established and accredited gemmologist who, after years of scientific research as director of the University of Florence Gemmological Laboratory, now applies his insight and expertise to the world of precious and unique gems for private clients and investors.
Teamed with a staff of experts in antique jewellery and Florentine hand crafted jewellery, they use all their knowledge and skills to achieve beauty in every detail of the jewel.
Ours is a small museaum-atelier nestled in the prestigious Via Tornabuoni, immersed in the peaceful and fascinating heart of historical Florence.
Dr. Giulio Russo graduates from Università degli Studi di Firenze with a degree in Geology with a specialization in Mineralogy. He receives the title of Graduate Gemmologist by attending GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) master courses in Diamond grading, colored stones and pearls.
Under the direction of Dr A. Borrelli, world renown authority in gemmology, he works for many years in the Gemmological Laboratory of the University of Florence where he certifies stones and researches the evolving techniques of gem identification and enhancement working with state of the art instruments.
After Dr Borrelli's retirement he becomes Director of the lab and undertakes the mission of continuing that outstanding gemological scientific research with particular focus on determining gem origin and enhancements. Notions that are more than essential in classifying and evaluating gems.
His studies and collaborations have brought him to travel the world leading to a continuous and close knit collaboration with the international Diamond Districts, auction houses and institutions.
